Are you interested in meeting native animals? Or are you interested in the care of sick and injured wildlife? Take a guided tour at Kanyana, and learn about their unique wildlife while supporting the hospital. Enjoy a 30 minute meet and greet with a special animal.
The on-site rehabilitation facility located at Lesmurdie admits over 3000 animal patients per year. The facility has intensive care, acclimatisation, pre-release, isolation and quarantine rooms.
Kanyana is successfully breeding endangered species at their Lesmurdie facility and they participate in nation-wide gene exchange programs. The animals are sent around Australia for release, or to other facilities to diversify the breeding populations of these threatened species.
Through outreach visits, tours, interactive displays and training, Kanyana strives to further knowledge and appreciation of wildlife, and increase understanding of the need to conserve native habitats.
